How Often?:
- Every 2 years the Global Summit
- Regional Summits- free to regional alliance to decide
Where?:
Some proposals of criteria:
- transportation logistics
- visa requirements national and transit
- availability of resources, including local – staff and financing
- facilities/ logistics
- motivational statement
- security
- political and institutional support
Current countries that have been recommended:
- Nepal
- Spain
- Sweden
- USA
- Islamic Nations
- South Africa
- Rwanda
- India
- Middle East
- Ecuador
How Long/When?:
- 7/8 days
- To be moved after 21st of October
Participation/Alliances:
- Multi- level management (top-up; bottom-down, around- an integrated- 360-management)
- Various stakeholders: including politicians, experts, diplomats, etc
- Spiritual Leading by Personalities
Summit Planning Committee:
- Separate from GA Secretariat
- Goals- a continuous monitoring and evaluating process, including the construction of the indicators
- Supportive staff with representatives from the GA, regional alliances and host country
Country Reports:
- Each country submits an REPORT on the status of their nation
- Will include status of implementation, security and conflict assessments, national information, etc
Guidelines for each Summit:
- Summits include that the Decision-Making is made by delegates as opposed to General Assembly
- Specialized PANELS: to include experts, diplomats, officials, media
- Program field trips to meet people
- Include components from the host countries cultural aspects
- Training programs
- Publicity display for each country
- Free time: networking, fun, exploration, etc
Funding:
- External donors and sponsors
- Internal partnerships
- Sliding fees scale/ no fees
Youth Summit:
- Enhance Youth Participation for actively contributing to raise the awareness of a culture of PEACE
